Lori's Story

Lori grew up on a dairy farm in southern Minnesota. Lori’s passionate heart for animals, especially dogs, lead her to become a dog groomer for 20 years of her life. She operated her very own successful and prosperous grooming business. Around the age of 40, her passionate heart shifted from devoting all her time to dogs to time with people and began a career in the retail and customer service industry.

Lori left her full-time career as a retail manager in August 2019 when The VOICE Ministry was birthed. God spoke to Lori in Fall of 2012 giving her the name The VOICE Ministry. God gave VOICE an acronym which is Victory Ours In Christ Evermore. (1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV)

Lori experienced sexual abuse in her pre-teen and early teenage years. The sexual abuse became the very thing that lead her to her salvation with God the Father only made possible through Jesus Christ. (John 3:16-17 KJV, John 14:6 KJV). She had not realized it began nor fully understood the power of forgiveness at that time, so that she too may be forgiven for her sins. Many years before Lori was saved, as a young teenage girl, she looked directly at the very man that sexually abused her, her father, and forgave him. One evening he came forward and apologized to her and immediately she was moved with compassion for him and forgave him. (Matthew 9:35-36 KJV, Ephesians 4:32 KJV) Lori remembers as if looking at him through her Heavenly Father’s eyes with an unconditional love. Lori and her father’s relationship was steadfast with love for one another. Throughout Lori’s life she has endured through many trials, tribulations, and storms victoriously. (1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV)

Lori confidently has answered Yes and Amen to the promises of God and His calling on her life in order for her divine purpose to be fulfilled.

In training and preparation for an extensive amount of time and by the grace of God, she operates in Gifts of the Holy Spirit and Fruits of the Holy Spirit.

She explains that she holds fast to her faith in God and Thy Word of God.

As God changed Abram’s name to Abraham in Genesis 17, Lori’s name was changed to Laurel by God during her birthday month in 2025, symbolizing victory, honor, prosperity and triumph. Her name change validates her identity established in Jesus Christ. Through tearful expressions of gratitude, Lori and Laurel offered up, for the honor she has been given by her Daddy. She states, without Him she can do nothing and without Him she has nothing. (John 15:5 KJV).

What does The VOICE Ministry look like?

While in prayer one evening, I asked God, “What will The Voice Ministry look like?” I quickly heard in My Spirit, “The Ministry of Jesus Christ” and then “it will not be man-made.”

The VOICE Ministry’s mission is The Great Commission that God spoke to her in a dream also in the Fall of 2012. In the dream she recalls a large body of water, soon after she was called to be an evangelist by her pastor. Suddenly, the word “GO” was largely revealed in the sky above, and was told “Lori, GO.” She awoke to Matthew 28:19-20 KJV.

God also revealed to Lori a divine assignment for The VOICE Ministry through His Word in Isaiah 61:1-11 KJV. The VOICE Ministry preaches and teaches Thy Word of God including repentance, brings healing to the broken hearted, proclaims freedom to the captives, brings deliverance to them that are bound and MORE, as it is written, Glory to God.

Shortly after the fullness of her new name was established, God changed her ministry name to The Voice Ministry Bank and Trust signifying an expansion for the ministry.

Lori’s surrendered heart and will is God’s heart and will to save and change lives, cities, and nations forever. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10 KJV) Laurel and The Voice Ministry Bank and Trust point to the finished work of the Cross!
